Job Description

Job Overview:
The delivery driver will drive a truck or van primarily to deliver or pick up materials. May load and unload vehicle and assist with shipment preparation.
Job responsibilities:
Perform company deliveries and pickups using company vehicle Assist with shipment preparations, pack-out, scanning, labeling and auditing Process parts and assemblies though the organization Put away material and maintain inventory tracking system Pull kits in support of planner, manufacturing and customer requirements Coordinate with the stockroom supervisor to resolve any discrepancies prior to releasing the kit Works directly with the warehouse team to backfill part shortages Deliver completed kits to assembly ready for production Unload all incoming material and verifies that supplies are received according to the packing list and purchase orders Move material with the use of carts, pallet jacks and forklift Perform cycle counts on inventory and resolve count variances Follow all ESD and manufacturing requirements for parts quality, and ensures that all work is performed in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures Perform data entry through various systems, Oracle and or other ERP systems as required
Tools and Technology:
Delivery truck GPS to plan route for delivery MIS/MRP system Carts, pallet jacks and forklift Excel Smocks and ESD shoe straps Knowledge, skills, and abilities: High school diploma or GED Basic math skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledgeable in electronic parts and components Proficient at Microsoft Excel and internal MIS/MRP systems Perform accurate and timely kit audits
Work Activities:
Operating vehicles and equipment that requires maneuvering, navigating, such as forklifts and passenger vehicles Receiving and obtaining information from all relevant sources related to receiving and delivering materials to customers and vendors Working directly with the public when delivering and picking up material from customers and vendors Performing general physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and your whole body such as lifting, balancing, stooping and handling materials. Communicating with supervisors and peers face-to-face, by telephone and by email
Work Conditions:
Outdoors, exposed to weather on a daily basis Working in an enclosed vehicle (truck) on a daily basis Daily contact with others via face-to-face, telephone or email Time pressure to meet delivery deadlines on a daily basis Important to work with external customers on a daily basis
