Duties Safely operate box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles to deliver packages across assigned routes while adhering to all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment, ensuring safe lifting practices and weight management in the workplace Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or route-driving tools to maximize productivity and punctuality Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns with a positive attitude Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety and compliance Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual transmission operation, and warehouse operations when handling packages or equipment Document delivery activities accurately through electronic logs or delivery manifests, ensuring proper tracking of all shipments Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with knowledge of delivery driving procedures Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or van driving preferred Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles and use manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks or material handling tools Warehouse experience including material handling, moving packages, and operating warehouse equipment is a plus Strong understanding of traffic regulations, DOT compliance, and safe lifting practices in the workplace Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via mobile devices or in person Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks; capable of performing load & unload activities safely and efficiently Familiarity with warehouse operations, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling standards in the workplace is desirable Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
