Part-Time Delivery Driver & BOH Associate Responsibilities:

Report to store by pre-determined start time. Any changes to start time will be advised by Customer Service & Operations Associate at least one day prior. Deliver flower arrangements using provided delivery route(s) in Wildroot Floral delivery van. Use of personal vehicle for deliveries may be required if van is being used on event setups. In that case, driver to be reimbursed for gas ($0.50/mile). Notify store via text/call once a delivery is complete Notify store via text/call with any delivery concerns (Recipient not home, wrong address, etc.) and store will work to solve the issue and keep you updated with delivery plan Light communication with recipients of deliveries to coordinate or resolve small issues Fill gas in delivery van using Wildroot credit card Take delivery van through Delta Sonic car wash and interior car wash - Unlimited membership Assist in tasks in store (in between or after deliveries) such as floral processing, bouquet wrap preparation, transport box preparation, card message paper preparation, washing buckets, taking out trash, opening and organizing pottery shipments, checking store and BOH inventory, etc.

Candidate Attributes:

Valid driver's license Preferred personal navigation system (Phone, GPS, etc.)

Schedule:

Friday 9AM-Close Store closes at 5:30PM on Friday. Employees generally leave approx. 30 minutes after store closes at completion of closing tasks. Employee's schedule will be set and kept the same week-to-week. It is subject to change in the future with business needs as Wildroot is a fast-growing small business. The floral industry is seasonal and weekly hours may vary throughout the year, never to fall below regularly scheduled hours/week. Part-time employees may be asked to work additional hours during busy times, though it is not required of their role to accept additional shifts - and availability of additional hours is not guaranteed. Busiest times of year in floral industry: Valentine' s Day week , Easter week , Mother's Day week , Thanksgiving week (Closed Thanksgiving Day and following Friday) , Christmas/winter holidays week (Closed Christmas Day though NewYear's Day) & Specific weeks during wedding season (Typically May - October)

Pay & Benefits:

$16/hour 40% employee discount at Wildroot Paid bi-weekly on Fridays. Direct deposit available. 40 hours Paid Sick Time provided per year to be used for unexpected absences due to illness; provided in full at the start of employment.

Note:

Wildroot Floral does not provide Paid Time Off (for vacations/holidays) for part-time employees. Wildroot Floral does not provide insurance benefits. Part-time delivery drivers are able to trade shifts with other part-time delivery drivers if the other employee agrees and business needs are met.

Notes:

Expect 7-15 deliveries per day on average Driver will drive the Wildroot delivery van - Nissan NV200 - or their personal vehicle In the unique situation that driver must take their personal vehicle, we will reimburse $0.50/mile driven. Driver must notate starting and ending mileage and submit before payroll is ran for that week. All deliveries will be made before 6PM. We deliver within a 25 mile delivery radius of the store. Most deliveries are within 15 miles.
