Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load, unload, and secure packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices, ensuring timely deliveries while managing traffic conditions effectively Interact professionally with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns with a positive attitude Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure safe operation Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items to prevent injury and ensure workplace safety standards are met Complete all required documentation accurately, including delivery logs, manifests, and incident reports when necessary Requirements Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and customer service excellence Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks or box trucks is highly desirable Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely Physical ability to lift heavy packages frequently using safe lifting practices; capable of manual handling in moving packages of various weights Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving, weight handling in the workplace, and safety protocols Experience using mobile devices for route navigation and communication during deliveries Strong organizational skills with the ability to adhere to scheduled routes while maintaining flexibility for unforeseen circumstances Embark on a rewarding career where your dedication drives success!
