Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Deliver products promptly to retail stores, clients, or designated locations while following optimized route plans. Conduct heavy lifting and merchandise merchandising with attention to safe handling techniques. Build rapport with customers through friendly communication, addressing inquiries, and upselling additional products or services when appropriate. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, route logs, and inventory records while ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery details, resolve issues promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction. Perform routine vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance needs to guarantee vehicle safety and reliability. Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or retail store delivery roles; familiarity with automobile transportation is a plus. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and basic financial transactions. Excellent communication skills to build lasting client relationships and relay information clearly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving and transportation safety standards. Demonstrated organizational skills for managing multiple deliveries efficiently within tight schedules.
