ABOUT THIS JOB

We are a full-service dry cleaners and laundry service company seeking an experienced driver for our pick-up & delivery service. Our delivery service is app-based, with turn-by-turn GPS and route optimization to ensure the most efficient routes are taken. Our route goes as far north as Hudson and as far south as New Paltz/Gardiner. The position is full-time. Workdays are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday. A work phone will be provided to you for use while on the road. Considered applicants must have a clean driving record.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Help to optimize your route prior to leaving. Load orders for delivery into our van. Organize the orders on the van to ensure efficient and errorless deliveries. Make accurate pick-up & delivery, using your judgment for the safest place to leave customers' garments (some customers indicate a preferred location on the app). Return with incoming orders, and bring them into the store for processing. Make sure every incoming order is labeled with customer information. Write up orders that you bring to the plant. Fuel up with a company gas card and submit receipts. Comply with state driving rules and regulations. Keep on top of maintenance needs for your vehicle. Keep vehicle neat and tidy, and remove trash at the end of the day. Full range of mobility required, as well as the ability to lift heavy items. Occasionally, customers will leave area rugs and heavy household items for cleaning.
