Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, vans, or personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload goods efficiently using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary Plan optimal delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while minimizing fuel consumption and delays Load items securely in the vehicle to prevent damage during transit, utilizing safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items Deliver packages directly to customers' locations with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent customer service throughout each interaction Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of deliveries made and any issues encountered during routes Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure safety and compliance with company policies Skills Previous delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and time management Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations and material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or manual transmission vehicles Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices and manual handling protocols Knowledge of commercial driving regulations, including adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and weight handling in the workplace Experience with mobile devices for navigation, communication, and delivery tracking purposes Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor Ability to operate a box truck or van confidently, including manual transmission vehicles if applicable Join us in delivering outstanding service while enjoying a flexible schedule that fits your lifestyle!
