Job Description
Job Overview We're on the lookout for a reliable and energetic Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you'll be the dependable driver responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to our stores. Whether navigating busy city streets or rural routes, you'll play a key part in ensuring our deliveries arrive on time and in perfect condition. If you enjoy driving and working independently this could be the perfect fit for you! Our drivers handle delicate frozen bakery products, including items transported on trays, in buckets, and in boxes. Products are delivered using a refrigerated van and must be handled with care to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. Duties Safely operate courier vans to make timely deliveries across designated routes. Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled carefully and secured properly during transit including trays, buckets, and boxed items. Ensure refrigerated products remain at proper temperatures throughout transport. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, adjusting plans as needed to meet delivery schedules. Assist with warehouse tasks like moving inventory. Communicate with management regarding delivery status, delays, or issues. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure safety standards are met. Provide friendly, professional customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns during deliveries. Requirements Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience preferred. Physical ability to lift heavy packages and perform manual handling tasks regularly. Strong knowledge of driving safety regulations and traffic laws in your area. Warehouse experience is a plus, especially familiarity with moving and loading inventory efficiently.
