Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting techniques, practicing safe lifting practices to prevent injury. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing inquiries and building strong client relationships through excellent customer service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for organizational efficiency. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or heavy vehicle operation. Strong understanding of pricing strategies and basic math skills for accurate transactions. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members. Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physical tasks safely during loading and unloading processes. Familiarity with DOT regulations, automobile transportation laws, and safe lifting practices to ensure compliance. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage schedules, routes, and documentation efficiently. Customer relationship building skills to foster trust and repeat business through friendly interactions.
