Our shop is looking for a versatile Floral Shop Assistant & Delivery Driver to support our daily operations and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. This is a dynamic, hands-on role—you won't be behind a desk all day! You will handle customer service, drive local deliveries, help process fresh flowers, and assist with wedding and event setups. No prior floral experience or degree required —we are happy to train someone with a hardworking, positive attitude!

Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales:

Take incoming phone orders, assist walk-in customers warmly, and enter/manage orders accurately using our Point of Sale (POS) system.

Shop Maintenance & Operations:

Process incoming fresh flowers, restock retail shelves, manage inventory, and keep the shop clean and organized.

Delivery & Logistics:

Safely deliver floral arrangements, coordinate 3rd-party delivery services when needed, and assist with transport and setup for weddings and special events.

Team Support:

Pitch in on general daily tasks as needed to keep the shop running seamlessly.

Qualifications & Physical Demands Friendly & Professional:

Energetic, customer-focused, and comfortable talking to people on the phone and in person.

Adaptable & Hardworking:

Flexible mindset, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to jump into various shop duties.

Driver Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs unassisted (for loading buckets, boxes, and event equipment).

Schedule Flexibility:

Willingness to work peak floral holidays (Valentine's Day week, Mother's Day week) and Off Hours (Typically Saturdays, but some rare weekends or Sundays) during wedding season. Also available for occasional deliveries on Sundays with short notice (only a few times per year).

Pay & Benefits Base Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 / hour (depending on experience)

Tips & Performance Incentives:

Additional earning potential on sales and deliveries, plus customer tips. Employees can earn as much as $3 more per hour from tips and incentives.

Schedule & Hours Typical Hours:

Shop hours are Monday-Friday (9 AM-5 PM) and Saturday (9 AM-1 PM).

Event Support:

Occasional evenings and Sundays for special events/weddings (Saturdays are common during wedding season).

Workload:

Part-time with fluctuating seasonal hours. Expect 25-35 hours/week initially, with potential for 40+ hours during major floral holidays and potentially fewer hours during off-peak periods.

Pay:

$14.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
