Duties Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment to ensure safe transport. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes using mobile devices or route navigation tools to maximize productivity. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspection records in compliance with company policies. Experience Proven delivery driver experience with a strong understanding of route driving and safe lifting practices. Warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred. Experience operating commercial trucks, box trucks, or vans is highly desirable. Ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations, DOT standards, and safety protocols during all driving activities. Demonstrated ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently while following proper manual handling procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients and team members.
