Job Description
Homan Inc. is a family-owned business since 1958 with the main office located in Maria Stein, OH. The experienced staff serves the agriculture industry in the design, construction and equipment installation on livestock and grain facilities. They provide complete parts and service in the swine, dairy, beef and poultry fields as well as grain systems. We are looking for a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Semi Truck Driver to join our team. This position involves transporting farm equipment, construction equipment, and general freight safely and efficiently to various locations. Job Responsibilities Safely operate a semi-truck and trailer for local and regional hauling. Transport farm equipment, machinery, and agricultural equipment to customers and job sites. Move construction equipment from one jobsite to another. Load, secure, transport, and unload equipment and freight in accordance with safety requirements. Haul general freight as needed. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is maintained in safe operating condition. Properly secure oversized, heavy, or specialized equipment for transport. Communicate with jobsite personnel regarding pickup and delivery schedules. Complete required delivery paperwork, logs, and other documentation. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Maintain a clean and professional truck and trailer. Be flexible with changing schedules, routes, and hauling needs. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL . Clean and safe driving record. Previous experience operating a semi and hauling equipment preferred. Experience with equipment trailers, flatbeds, lowboys, or similar trailers is a plus. Ability to safely load and secure farm and construction equipment. Strong attention to detail Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Willingness to perform occasional physical work related to loading, securing, and unloading equipment.
