Liftgate Performing background checks Straight truck Full Job Description A growing US Mail Hauler in the Western Region is looking for Box Truck Drivers with liftgate experience (Class A or B Preferred) in Coburg, OR with exposure to US Mail hauling and/or operations and experience driving under inclement weather conditions (snow, rain, wind etc.). Enjoy the opportunity to stay local and come home every night!QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Licensing and Certifications :
Must be 25 years or older. Must have good driving record (MVR) Possession of a valid Driver's License. (CDL A or B Preferred) 3 years or more of recent Class A or B driving experience. Must have exposure to inclement weather and use of snow chains.Pre-Employment Requirements:
Ability to pass USPS background check. Must submit to drug testing and a criminal background check. Ability to pass a DOT physical including functional capacity exam.Daily Operational Detail:
Drive from Springfield to Local Post offices and Springfield Driver shall start from company yard (s) to the distribution center and back Complete Pre and Post Inspections Load and unload Mail carts multiple times through the day using a liftgate onto a Box Trucks Secure load with E straps Record Hours of Service onSamsara App Schedule:
PT Average hours per week: 21-30 Hours (Over 6 Days) Average worked hour per day: 3.5-5 hours/day (Route specific) Shift examples: 2AM to 7AM, 3AM to 6:30AM, 2:15AM to 7AM, 1:30AM to 6:30AM with some split afternoon work We work during Holidays. Holiday Pay + Trip Pay Trips run Monday to Sunday. No Overtime (Interstate Commerce)Compensation:
Box Truck Driver (Class A Preferred): $29.11 + $6.07 in Benefit Pay (paid up to 40 hours per week)- Benefit Pay is used to offset monthly health insurance or 401K/ROTH premiums.
