Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrival at each destination. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper lifting techniques, practicing safe lifting practices for heavy items. Engage with customers professionally, building strong relationships through clear communication and attentive service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure all transportation equipment is in optimal condition. Manage delivery documentation accurately, including delivery logs, invoices, and route sheets. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales goals. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred. Knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations to ensure safe and compliant deliveries. Strong math skills for handling pricing calculations, measurements, and basic inventory management. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination. Physical ability to lift heavy packages regularly while adhering to safe lifting practices. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product presentation.
