Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks, vans, or cargo vans to deliver packages along designated routes. Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Follow all traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) guidelines to ensure safety on the road. Use mobile devices and route navigation tools to plan efficient delivery sequences and update delivery statuses. Interact professionally with customers, providing friendly service and addressing any delivery questions or concerns. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of packages delivered and any issues encountered during routes. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Requirements Previous experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services is highly preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or box trucks is a plus. Must be able to work from 9am to 8pm (if needed) Must be able to safely deliver packages by walking down small blocks if necessary Must be available to work at least a Saturday or Sunday, this is a 7 day delivery operation Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be able to pass a drug test Willing to be DOT certified or already be DOT certified Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling of packages safely; familiarity with heavy lifting techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Ability to work independently, follow route schedules precisely, and adapt to changing delivery priorities. Physical stamina for moving packages, loading/unloading cargo, and extended periods of driving.
