Chauffeur License Delivery Driver Vigers Trucking Company Port Allen, LA Job Details Full-time | Contract $500 - $720 a week 17 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Chauffeur License Delivery Driver and Funiture Delivery Helpers to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely delivering mattresses and platforms for mattresses, and other items to various locations and setting them up in customers homes. In this role, be required to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds. Your energetic approach to route driving, adherence to traffic regulations, and excellent customer service skills will ensure timely and professional deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics operations, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and positive customer interactions. Duties Safely operate a 26ft box truck to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Load and unload packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as mattress scraps,roller carts, etc Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including signatures and delivery confirmations via mobile devices Maintain a clean driving record and conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries Assist with warehouse operations when required, including moving inventory and managing stock using manual handling practices Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling of heavy or bulky items to prevent injury Lifting mattresses and platforms that are over 50 pounds Qualifications Valid chauffeur license with a clean driving record and experience in commercial driving or courier services Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially with box trucks used for delivery purposes Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks), and heavy lifting techniques Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely Knowledge of DOT regulations related to weight handling in the workplace and safe driving practices Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients and team members Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, route updates, and delivery documentation Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy items safely and efficiently Join us as a dedicated Delivery Driver and become an essential part of our logistics network!
