Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional service. Duties Operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Greet customers professionally and ensure satisfaction with the delivery process. Follow assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Load, unload, and carry heavy furniture items (up to 100 pounds or more). Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries. Handle heavy lifting of packages and materials, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used. Cleans, checks, and tests merchandise before loading. Loads and unloads merchandise, also unboxes, set ups, displays, cleans, touches up, repairs, Delivers and returns merchandise with proper use of shipping blankets and tie-downs to secure the merchandise. Performs minor service calls and repairs Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Experience Previous experience as a van driver or courier is preferred. Familiarity with route driving and navigation skills is essential. Experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous. Strong customer service skills are necessary to interact positively with clients. Experience with manual handling techniques for heavy lifting is beneficial. Additional Requirements Clean, valid driver's license - ability to be DOT certified if required. High school education or GED. Ability to read tags, instructions, maps, documents. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., 200 lbs. with the aid of a dolly or the assistance of another person without sustaining personal injury or damaging the merchandise.
