Part-time hours are generally scheduled Monday-Friday between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. No weekends are expected. Occasional longer weekday hours may occur depending on production or delivery needs. About the Role Fit Clean Meals provides frozen home delivered meals to seniors and vulnerable adults. This position supports both meal assembly and delivery operations. Our clients depend on us for consistent meal service, so reliability, patience, attention to detail, and a willingness to follow procedures are essential. This role involves both hands-on meal assembly and delivery work, so a good attitude, humility, and respect for the people we serve are just as important as the physical ability to do the job.
Job Duties Responsibilities may include:
Assembling frozen meals using prepared ingredients Portioning prepared food items according to instructions Labeling and packing meals Organizing meals and supplies in freezer/storage areas Loading and unloading coolers Assisting with basic cleaning and sanitation Helping receive or organize inventory Driving a company vehicle for meal delivery routes Delivering meals to seniors and vulnerable adults in a respectful and professional manner Following delivery instructions and documenting delivery notes as required Using a smartphone/app for navigation, route notes, and communication This is not a cooking position. The role focuses on assembling, labeling, packing, organizing, and delivering frozen meals using prepared ingredients in a clean production environment. Driving Requirements Company vehicle provided for deliveries Applicants must be at least 21 years old due to company vehicle and insurance requirements Valid Tennessee driver's license required Clean driving record required Must be comfortable driving rural delivery routes Delivery routes may include up to approximately 200 miles and 40 stops in a day Previous delivery or route-driving experience is preferred Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to safely perform the essential duties of the position, including: Standing for extended periods Bending, squatting, and reaching overhead Entering and exiting a delivery vehicle repeatedly throughout the day Loading and unloading coolers Lifting up to 50 lbs as needed Working briefly in freezer/cold storage areas Delivering in normal outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain Required Qualifications At least 21 years old due to company vehicle and insurance requirements Valid Tennessee driver's license Clean driving record Reliable and punctual Able to work independently after training Comfortable using a smartphone and basic apps for navigation, delivery documentation, and communication Able to follow written procedures and delivery instructions Able to meet the physical requirements of the position Able to pass required background checks for work serving seniors and vulnerable adults, including checks related to abuse, neglect, exploitation, domestic violence, and sexual offenses Willing to follow food safety, sanitation, hygiene, and delivery procedures Preferred Experience Previous delivery or route-driving experience preferred Food service, warehouse, production, or assembly experience is helpful, but not required Health, Safety, and Workplace Policies This role serves seniors and vulnerable adults. Employees must be willing to follow company health and hygiene procedures, including regular hand sanitizing and wearing a mask when required by company policy, client needs, facility requirements, or public health guidance.
