Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the distribution facility's Transportation Manager, our Drivers are expected to be able to operate our delivery process of shipping out products through delivery to our retail customers. Drivers report to our distribution center between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM, depending on the route, and/or stops that may be required. Then, our drivers collect and organize the invoices for their stops. Conducting a pre-trip safety inspection and ensuring that the materials you need for your route are in your vehicle are required as well. Most stops are convenience stores, and you are to conduct a counting and scanning process before releasing the products to the customers. You are to have the customer sign their invoice, stating they have received their order. Finally, you are to collect returns and fill out a credit memo where applicable for the customers. For training, we typically have new drivers work with existing drivers on their route as a driver helper. This time is paid, and allows new Transportation Team members the chance to learn our system. Each driver will have between 7 and 15 stops a day, and will operate days a week; through Duties include:
  • Communicating with your Transportation Manager or dispatcher upon arrival at the distribution center for your delivery route.
  • Conducting a pre-and-post trip safety inspection of your tractor and trailer.
  • Using our Electronic Logging Device (ELD) for all route information (arrival times, departure times, scanning of delivered products, etc.)
  • Having cordial customer service conversations with store managers or acting management upon delivery to your route stops.
  • Communicating any needs or issues with any equipment, routing, or other items throughout your shift.
  • Ability to deliver product up and down our trailer ramps at your route stops
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs of product at a given time.
  • Keeping your vehicle clean and orderly during your shift.
  • All other duties and projects as assigned. Skills & Attributes

Experience and Education:
  • Preferred
  • minimum of 1-5 years of transportation experience
  • DOT law and regulation familiarity and knowledge
  • Past delivery or CDL experience
  • Active Commercial Drivers License

Starting Pay:
Salary:
$23.00/hr.
