Overview Join our bakery team as a vital link between our company and our valued customers, ensuring timely, safe, and professional delivery of goods. Duties Safely operate various vehicles including box trucks (with lift gates) and personal vehicles for delivery routes. Load and unload vehicles while adhering to safe lifting practices. Follow established routes diligently, utilizing mobile devices for navigation and delivery tracking. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and workplace safety standards during all driving activities. Provide excellent customer service by delivering products promptly and professionally, addressing customer inquiries courteously. Assist in bread and pastry packaging when needed, including material handling equipment operation and inventory management. Load and secure shipments properly to prevent damage during transit; perform routine vehicle inspections for safety and maintenance needs. Experience Previous delivery driver experience or warehouse experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with box trucks is also preferred. Knowledge of manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices in a warehouse and bakery distribution setting. Ability to adhere to route schedules efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Strong understanding of traffic regulations, DOT requirements, and weight handling in the workplace. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service; comfortable using mobile devices for route management. Personality and a clean personal presentation are a MUST! You'll be the face for our company inside the stores and restaurants responsible for our revenue and growth.
