A Sales Delivery Driver drives a truck or other vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and sells or delivers goods, such as food products, including restaurant take-out items, or pick up or deliver items such as commercial laundry. May also take orders, collect payment, or stock merchandise at point of delivery. Includes newspaper delivery drivers. Excludes gig economy drivers.
The ChemStation of Tennessee Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, professional, and timely delivery of bulk and packaged chemical products to customer locations across Middle Tennessee and surrounding regions. This position keeps drivers home every night and offers flexible hours based on customer needs. Drivers must demonstrate strong customer service and operate with complete adherence to DOT regulations, Hazmat requirements, and ChemStation safety standards. Required Licenses & Endorsements Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Tanker Endorsement (N) Hazardous Materials Endorsement (H or X) Must meet all DOT medical certification and qualification requirements Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Key Responsibilities Delivery & Transportation Operate Class A vehicles to deliver bulk chemical products locally and regionally. Perform all deliveries with the understanding that drivers return home every night. Load and unload chemicals safely using hoses, pumps, fittings, and transfer equipment. Complete all delivery documentation including electronic logs, inspection reports, and delivery tickets. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain clean vehicles. Customer Service Represent ChemStation of Tennessee professionally at customer facilities. Communicate effectively regarding tank levels, delivery windows, and site needs. Build strong relationships with customer personnel. Report service issues or equipment concerns promptly. Safety & Compliance Follow all ChemStation, DOT, OSHA, EPA, and Hazmat regulations. Use proper PPE and adhere to all hazardous material handling protocols. Maintain all CDL, Tanker, and Hazmat requirements. Participate in required safety meetings and training. Equipment & Facility Support Assist with maintaining delivery trucks, hoses, pumps, and equipment. Support warehouse and production activities when not on delivery routes. Help maintain a clean and safe facility environment. Perform additional operational tasks as assigned.
