A Sales Delivery Driver drives a truck or other vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and sells or delivers goods, such as food products, including restaurant take-out items, or pick up or deliver items such as commercial laundry. May also take orders, collect payment, or stock merchandise at point of delivery. Includes newspaper delivery drivers. Excludes gig economy drivers.
The Class B CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering products to customers' homes and company locations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, reliability, and professionalism, as well as the ability to safely load, unload, and maneuver products weighing up to 100 pounds. This is a physically demanding delivery position requiring frequent lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, and movement of products.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Loading, transporting, and delivering product to customer homes/company locations in a safe, professional, and timely manner. Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and the customer is satisfied. Load and unload product from delivery truck into customer home or business Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and directing complaints to Customer Care. Adhere to assigned routes and follow schedule. Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Possess and maintain Class B CDL One year minimum delivery truck driver experience DOT Health Card Successful completion of the Company's background screening and driving record requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, and use of hands. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. The position requires the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and frequently enter and exit the vehicle and cargo area. The employee may occasionally be exposed to heat, humidity, and moving mechanical parts.
