As a Local Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations within a designated area. This is a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of products to our customers. Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer or van, to transport goods
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
• Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring prompt and professional interactions with customers during deliveries
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with company standards
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding transportation, safety, and security Maintains radio or telephone contact with supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new location.

Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations. Performs pre-trip and post trip, fill out forms daily and submit to dispatch Keeps record of materials and products transported. Drives safely and wears a seat belt at all times. Successfully completes customer requests in a professional timely manner. Position blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo for transport. Cleans and inspects vehicle. Reports maintenance problems to mechanic. Completes fuel report and submits to supervisor. Operates equipment on vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials. Obtains customer signature or collects payment for goods delivered and delivery charges. Assists in loading and unloading truck. Follows all safety regulations and precautions. Experience To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:

• Previous experience as a driver, preferably in a commercial driving capacity (manual shift truck)
• Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
• Ability to operate various types of equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts
