Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver/Float to join our dynamic logistics team. Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks and personal vehicles in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws Load, unload, and secure cargo using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks Execute delivery routes accurately while adhering to scheduled timelines and traffic regulations Assist with warehouse and store operations including moving goods, organizing inventory, and managing manual handling tasks Load and unload shipments efficiently while practicing safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries to confirm receipt and address any concerns Utilize mobile devices for route navigation, delivery documentation, and communication with dispatch Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards Support warehouse team with material handling equipment operation when required Follow all DOT regulations related to weight handling, hours of service, and safety protocols
Skills:
Proven experience in delivery driving or courier roles, preferably with warehouse experience Familiarity with commercial truck driving, box trucks, or personal vehicle delivery operations Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks safely Strong understanding of route planning, traffic regulations, and load & unload procedures Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor Ability to lift heavy items consistently while adhering to safe lifting practices Experience working within warehouse operations or logistics environments Competence in using mobile devices for navigation and communication purposes This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to efficient logistics operations while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
