Overview:
The Pick-up and Delivery Driver will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another. This position will be directly assisting the shipping and maintenance departments.
Essential Functions:
Load, unload, inspect, and properly secure materials, parts, tools, equipment, and other products before transportation. Maintain assigned vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe operating condition. Verify quantities, items, delivery information, purchase orders, packing slips, and other applicable documentation to ensure accuracy Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported in accordance with company safety procedures and applicable laws and regulations. Providing safe, timely and correct parts pick-up and deliveries for the maintenance department. Obtain required signatures or delivery confirmations and promptly report any discrepancies. Providing safe, timely deliveries of pipe product for shipping department. Establishing an efficient schedule and route of pick-up and delivery. Operating the delivery vehicle (utility truck) in a safe and cautious fashion to maintain a clean driving record. Maintaining professional attitude, conduct and appearance. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, i.e. cleaning the shop, sweeping Reports any problems or discrepancies to management Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of Safety Team/ Supervisor. Lifts and carries materials and tools throughout work areas using appropriate equipment. Other duties may be assigned. Supervisory Responsibility None Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move products and supplies, up to 75 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. OT will be required as needed. This position does not require weekend work.
