Clarificion from the agency Nionwide (see Areas of Considerion), Texas Army Nional Guard Membership is Required Duties Help As a Aerial Delivery Specialist with the Texas Nional Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to: Inspects a variety of airdrop equipment such as parachutes, multi loop lines, extraction force transfer couplings, lch assembly couplings, cable assembly couplings, actuor assembly, release cargo parachute M-1, lanyard arming wire, connector parachute, timer delay assembly, link lower suspension, link assembly single suspension type IV, link assembly heavy duty, link 4 point, parachute release single knife, bracket suspension, and tie down cargo quick release. Prepares and conducts inspections of sling load equipment and sling load operions. Performs prioritized airdrop inspections, sequential work is determined, and pertinent ARs, TMs, FMs and DA PAMs have been reviewed. Rigs and prepares unileral airdrop training loads to include type V or other airdrop plforms for airdrops. Performs drop zone control operions as Drop Zone Safety Officer. Formules, implements, and documents programs to train Airborne unit commanders in support of Aerial delivery deployment functions to ensure effective and efficient operions of unit deployment processes. Provides subject mter and technical expertise on air transportion and aerial delivery operions to the Division, Brigade, Group, Btalion, and Company CDRs. Ensures airborne personnel and cargo for transport by air meet proper specificions to maximize safety of aircraft, aircrew, cargo, and passengers. Plans, schedules, and trains Army Nional Guard (ARNG), United Stes Army (USA), United Stes Army Reserve (USAR), United Stes Marine Corp (USMC), United Stes Marine Corp Reserve (USMCR), Air Nional Guard (ANG), United Stes Air Force (USAF), United Stes Air Force Reserve (USAFR), United Stes Navy (USN), United Stes Navy Reserve (USNR) Coast Guard (CG) and Coast Guard Reserve (CGR) on the inspection and operions of aircraft loading equipment; mobility/contingency functions (i.e., load planning, pallet buildup, cargo courier responsibility and hazardous cargo preparion); and all core Military Occupional Specialty (MOS) specific tasks. Serves as the Commander's Subject Mter Expert (SME) for orchestring daily and long-range utilizion of the aerial delivery systems to ensure accomplishment of assigned missions as well as support for future missions and deployment operions. Inspects cargo for airlift to verify eligibility and ensures proper documention, packaging, and marking in accordance with applicable DOD directives. Performs other duties as assigned. Specialized Experience:
Experience or training of Aerial Delivery Operions and functions sufficient to plan, coordine, facilite, and expedite on-time movement of personnel, and airdrop cargo in accordance with applicable rules and regulions. Must possess skills and knowledge required to be certified to inspect, test, and perform quality assurance with 100% accuracy on all life support systems. Joint Air Inspection and Jump Master qualificions/currency to identify through prescribed inspection processes to elimine malfunctions th may affect the safety of aircraft/personnel, to ensure a safe and proper drop of personnel and airdrop load from aircraft, and to insure items offered/accepted for transport by air meet proper specificions.
