A Sales Delivery Driver drives a truck or other vehicle over established routes or within an established territory and sells or delivers goods, such as food products, including restaurant take-out items, or pick up or deliver items such as commercial laundry. May also take orders, collect payment, or stock merchandise at point of delivery. Includes newspaper delivery drivers. Excludes gig economy drivers.

Summary:
The Delivery Driver Lead is responsible for leading a team of 10-15 employees, creating daily Delivery Manifests, and ensuring delivery/pick up of orders are done so in a safe and timely manner. The Delivery Driver Lead will provide guidance to drivers to ensure safe loading of materials and assist the Router to ensure drivers are directed to the correct stores or customer locations.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all drivers are loading and unloading trucks in a manner that prevents damage of material and/or vehicle accidents. Be able to drive and make deliveries when needed. Ensure all drivers are loading trucks with every item on each order of their manifest to eliminate commonly missed items, such as wire, conduit, and strut being left behind. Promptly provide assistance and support to drivers so as to help each maintain their schedule. Monitor that all Delivery Drivers are operating all equipment and machinery safely and in compliance with EES safety regulations. Assist in Implementing new policies and procedures as directed by the Transportation Supervisor or Operations Manager in a timely, effective, and consistent manner. Maintain the organization of the warehouse and ensure that it is left in an orderly manner for the next shift. Maintain an organized and accurate Reel Incentive Program; coordinate with Wire Supervisor. Be available to assist in other areas of the ware house when needed.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required Strong leadership skills. A minimum of one year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products beneficial. Strong mathematical ability and Basic familiarity with the use of a personal computer. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats. Strong time management and organizational skills, including an ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Must have good leadership abilities and work well in a team environment. Strong customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
Be able stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Good computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone skills. Ability to bend, climb, push, and pull, including the ability to maneuver at heights and in tight or small places.
