Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, unload, and secure packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to optimize time and fuel consumption. Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and compliance with maintenance schedules. Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy or bulky items to prevent injuries. Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation for each shipment processed. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving or courier services is highly preferred. Warehouse experience involving material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks or manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of route driving, warehouse operations, and commercial truck driving regulations is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation, delivery tracking, and documentation purposes. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial trucks or box trucks is desirable.
