This position provides friendly, professional customer service while ensuring garments are handled with care and deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule. The driver also maintains the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle and follows all company safety and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Pick up and deliver dry cleaning, laundry, and other customer orders according to assigned routes and schedules.
Provide courteous and professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
Verify customer orders, addresses, and garment counts to ensure accuracy.
Handle garments carefully to prevent damage, loss, or mix-ups.
Collect payments when required and provide receipts or other documentation.
Load and unload garments safely and organize orders in the vehicle for efficient delivery.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe delivery vehicle.
Communicate with the store or management regarding delivery issues, customer requests, delays, or missing items.
Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safe-driving practices.
Complete required delivery records, route logs, and other paperwork accurately.
Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid drivers license and a clean or acceptable driving record.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Ability to safely lift and carry garment bags and laundry orders.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to follow routes, schedules, and delivery instructions.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Previous delivery, driving, customer service, or dry-cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
Ability to lift, carry, and move customer orders as needed.
Ability to enter and exit a delivery vehicle frequently throughout the workday.
Ability to work in varying weather and traffic conditions.
