Job Description

As a Removal/Delivery Driver, you will serve as a compassionate intermediary between grieving pet owners and our cremation service. Your primary responsibility is to guarantee the dignified, considerate, and respectful transportation of deceased pets. Infused with empathy and compassion, you will offer invaluable support and comfort to those in mourning while upholding the highest standards of pet aftercare.
Key Responsibilities Collection & Transportation:
Ensure punctual and respectful collection of deceased pets from veterinary clinics and private residences. Handle each pet with the utmost care, dignity, and respect throughout the entire process.
Identification & Documentation:
Guarantee each pet is correctly tagged with relevant information to maintain proper identification. Accurately document essential details including pickup locations, special requests, and other relevant information to eradicate errors.
Client Interaction & Compassion:
Display sensitivity, compassion, and empathy when interacting with grieving pet owners, extending support during their difficult times. Communicate and adhere to any specific requests or instructions provided by clients.
Safe Vehicle Operation:
Drive the company vehicle cautiously and responsibly, adhering to all traffic rules and safety protocols to ensure secure transportation. Strategically plan routes to optimize efficiency and ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
Team Collaboration & Communication:
Maintain open lines of communication with the office manager and cremator operator to relay special instructions, update progress, and ensure smooth operations.
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace within the vehicle. Ensure all specialized equipment (such as pet stretchers and lifts) is in good working order and promptly report any maintenance needs.
Professionalism & Emergency Response:
Present yourself neatly and professionally, adhering to company dress code policies. Remain prepared to respond calmly and appropriately during unforeseen circumstances or emergencies. A Day in the Life Your day begins with reviewing assigned routes to guarantee timely pickups and deliveries, equipped with all necessary transportation supplies. Upon arrival at clinics or homes, you interact with clients with care and sensitivity. You will package, tag, and securely load pets into the vehicle, driving cautiously to the facility for careful and dignified unloading. Throughout the day, you stay in touch with the office staff, ending each assignment by cleaning and preparing your vehicle for the next task.
Qualifications Licensing & Driving Record:
Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, showcasing responsible and safe driving skills.
Physical Capabilities:
Physical fitness necessary to lift and transport pets of various sizes, demonstrating adaptability and strength.
Interpersonal Skills:
Proven empathy, compassion, and sensitivity when communicating with grieving pet owners during delicate situations.
Detail-Oriented:
Meticulous attention to detail for accurate identification and record-keeping to prevent errors.
Professional Presentation:
Dedicated to maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to the company dress code.
Equipment & Training:
Familiarity with specialized transportation equipment (such as lifts or carriers) is beneficial. Completion of required training programs or certifications related to pet handling and transportation is essential.

$18.00 per hour
