Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and automobiles, following DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and company policies. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices. Communicate effectively with customers, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, receipts, and route records. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly. Organize deliveries for optimal efficiency, ensuring merchandise is properly merchandised upon arrival at retail stores or client locations. Experience Previous experience in commercial driving, retail store deliveries, or similar roles preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, automobile transportation, and traffic laws. Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations and inventory counts. Proven ability to build positive customer relationships through excellent communication skills. Familiarity with merchandising practices and client communication strategies. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper safety protocols. Experience in sales or upselling is a plus, demonstrating proactive customer engagement skills. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
