Job Description

Perry is Central Texas' largest independent office products & furniture dealer and has been a part of the Central Texas community since 1920. Perry has an immediate opening for an experienced Commercial Delivery Driver based in Temple, Texas. This position delivers products throughout Central Texas and requires familiarity with the Georgetown and Austin areas. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, and committed to providing excellent customer service. Why Join Us? Standard weekday hours (35-40 hours per week). What You'll Do:

This position begins at 6:30am daily. Safely operate a commercial box truck or delivery van (experience required). Make deliveries on a daily route to commercial customers. Provide friendly, professional delivery service for customers. Lift, move and carry items throughout the day. Occasionally use a forklift/dolly/pallet jack. (will train as needed) Other tasks as assigned. To be successful in this position, you'll have:

MUST HAVE

at least 2 years of commercial delivery experience in a commercial delivery truck or van (not personal vehicle driving). Familiarity with driving in all of Austin. Ability to work a morning shift beginning at 7:00am. Ability to pass a standard Drug Screen and Background Check prior to starting work. A valid Driver's License & great driving record. Ability to get and stay organized through the day. Strong attention to detail with names, numbers, and directions. A good sense of direction and ability to use a navigation system. The ability to lift up to 75lbs. A positive attitude & good people skills. A neat, professional appearance. Basic computer skills. Reliable transportation.
