Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Side Dump Driver to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. In this role, you will operate specialized side dump trucks to transport and unload materials efficiently across various jobs . Duties Safely operate side dump trucks, including dump trucks, and tractor-trailers, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles focusing on air brake systems, mechanical components, and safety features to maintain optimal performance Follow designated routes for municipal waste management or construction material delivery, maintaining timely schedules and efficient route driving practices Comply with traffic laws and safety protocols during outdoor work activities while maintaining a high standard of defensive driving Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brake systems to prevent breakdowns Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and route adjustments as needed Experience Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or flatbeds in municipal waste management or construction environment. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for air brakes and manual transmission required. Familiarity with hazardous materials regulations and safety standards for transporting potentially dangerous substances Must have at least two years experience. Demonstrated understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and state transportation rules governing route driving and delivery operations .
