The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including vans and box trucks. Responsibilities Operate commercial vehicles, including vans and box trucks, for the transportation of goods. Ensure accurate loading and unloading of cargo, utilizing proper techniques for heavy lifting. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance. Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and fuel receipts. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse staff regarding delivery status. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including operating pallet jacks for loading and unloading. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within the moving or warehouse industry. Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations governing commercial driving. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
