Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Driver/Mover and become a vital part of delivering exceptional service to our customers! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting, loading, and unloading furniture, equipment, and other items while providing top-notch customer service. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure smooth moves and timely deliveries, making a positive impact on every client interaction. Duties Safely operate various vehicles including box trucks and commercial vans to transport items to and from customer locations. Load and unload furniture, appliances, or equipment using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as dollies, pallet jacks, or forklifts when necessary. Assist customers with their belongings by providing friendly, professional service during pickups and deliveries. Plan efficient routes to ensure timely arrivals at each destination while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and safety checks on vehicles before and after trips to ensure optimal performance. Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate schedules and address any delivery or moving issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual handling, and vehicle operation to prevent injuries. Requirements Proven experience in delivery driving or moving services; familiarity with route driving is highly preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physical stamina for manual labor tasks including loading/unloading items. Knowledge of warehouse procedures, including the use of forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and routes accurately. Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends or evenings as needed.
