Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Furniture Delivery Driver and become a vital link in delivering comfort and style to our valued customers! As a delivery driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting furniture items , ensuring timely and professional delivery experiences. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help us build lasting relationships with our clients while enjoying the flexibility of part-time hours. Duties Safely operate box trucks to deliver furniture to residential or commercial locations, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload furniture items using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, ensuring safe lifting practices Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures, and complete delivery documentation Communicate professionally with customers during delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns Carry heavy furniture inside homes without causing damage Assist with warehouse operations by loading inventory onto trucks and organizing materials for efficient route driving Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards Requirements Prior experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or moving services is highly preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or courier services is a plus Must pass a background check and a drug test Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and weight handling in the workplace Physical ability to lift heavy furniture items safely and perform manual handling tasks regularly Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during all interactions Ability to work part-time hours flexibly, including Saturdays High school diploma or GED preferred
