The Can Delivery Driver & Utility Worker is responsible for transporting waste and recycling carts and containers to customer locations and other hauling areas in a safe, yet timely manner, Grounds keeping and facility clean-up. Timely delivery of residential and commercial carts and cans. Transporting front load cans to other hauling areas Clean dumpsters for repair utilizing pressure washing tools and solutions Clean residential carts utilizing pressure washing tools and solutions Installation of lids, decals and can numbers Other duties assigned by the manager, including but not limited to errands, inventory and clean-up. Grounds keeping- including mowing, weed eating and trash pick-up. Some facility clean-up (sweeping, mopping etc.) Work environment and expectations The normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a heavy-duty commercial vehicle and/or mower. Shifts are Monday - Friday and occasional Saturdays. Attendance of quarterly Safety Training and committee meetings at all locations. Position requires sitting, standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, twisting and turning. Machine, tools, and equipment use will vary Company provided commercial vehicle Landscaping tools-lawn mower and weed eater Personal protective equipment includes, but not limited to gloves, hard hats, boots, safety goggles/glasses and safety vest.
