Job Description

Pulaski County PSA is seeking a reliable, safety-minded individual for a part-time Sanitation Driver position. Responsibilities include operating sanitation vehicles, collecting and transporting solid waste, recyclables, yard waste, and bulk materials; performing vehicle inspections; maintaining equipment; and following all safety and sanitation procedures. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor and performs related public works duties as assigned. Applicants must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), a safe driving record, and the ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying conditions. Experience operating heavy equipment or working in sanitation/public works is preferred. Work hours are 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., hours will vary including weekends, nights and holidays. Hours shall not exceed 29 hours per week. The hourly range for this position is $19.31 - $28.69 and is commensurate upon education and experience.
Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but any combination of education and experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. Prior experience in solid waste collection, public works, construction, landscaping, heavy labor, or related fields is preferred but not required. Additionally, experience in operating automotive equipment is desirable.
