Overview GBike USA Inc. is hiring Part-Time Field Operations Drivers to support our shared electric scooter operations in Alexandria and Arlington, Virginia. This is a hands-on, field-based position involving driving a company-provided van, replacing scooter batteries, deploying and retrieving scooters, and responding to city service requests. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour. Applicants with directly relevant experience may qualify for a higher starting rate, up to $20.00 per hour. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a company-provided van during assigned shifts Replace low batteries on electric scooters Deploy, rebalance, retrieve, and locate scooters Retrieve damaged, abandoned, or improperly parked scooters Clean scooters and perform basic inspections and minor maintenance Respond to city service requests within required response times Use a mobile app to locate scooters and record completed tasks Meet daily productivity and service-response expectations Keep the assigned vehicle and work area clean and organized Immediately report vehicle, scooter, safety, or operational issues Requirements Valid driver's license Driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements Ability to safely operate a cargo van or similar company vehicle Ability to repeatedly lift, move, and load equipment weighing up to 70 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and changing weather conditions Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Ability to follow safety procedures and operational instructions Preferred Qualifications Experience in delivery, field operations, warehouse work, fleet maintenance, or similar work Basic mechanical aptitude Familiarity with electric scooters, bicycles, or similar equipment Schedule Part-time, hourly position Generally up to 30 hours per week, depending on operational needs Weekend, evening, and holiday availability may be required Actual shifts will be discussed during the interview Benefits Company vehicle provided during working hours On-the-job training Flexible scheduling based on operational needs Opportunities for additional responsibilities and advancement
