Blue Ridge Express is a FedEx Ground service provider based in Verona, Virginia , serving a local delivery territory extending from Wintergreen/Afton through Sweet Briar and the surrounding communities. We're building our regular full-time driver schedule around a 4-day workweek . Our drivers work independently, stay active, are home every night, and during normal operations have 3 days off each week. We're looking for dependable, hardworking people who want a consistent schedule and a better balance between work and life.

WHAT THE JOB LOOKS LIKE

You'll begin your day at our Verona facility and operate a FedEx Ground delivery vehicle on an assigned route within our service territory. Your day will include loading your vehicle, safely delivering and picking up packages, using handheld technology, and interacting professionally with customers. This is a physical, fast-paced job. You'll be getting in and out of the vehicle throughout the day, lifting and moving packages, and working outdoors in different weather conditions. It's hard work—but we don't believe hard work should require giving up your entire week.

REQUIREMENTS

At least 21 years old Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Able to pass required background and drug screening Able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position Comfortable driving a delivery vehicle Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Able to communicate effectively with customers and teammates Weekend availability based on your assigned schedule

HOLIDAY PEAK SEASON

The delivery business gets significantly busier during the holidays. From approximately Thanksgiving through December 31 , drivers should expect additional workdays and may work 5-6 days per week to help our team handle peak-season volume. Following peak season, regular full-time schedules return to our normal 4-day workweek.
