Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Shed Delivery Driver and take charge of delivering outdoor structures, sheds, and related materials to customers with enthusiasm and professionalism. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving expertise with manual handling skills, ensuring each delivery is completed safely, efficiently, and with outstanding customer service. As a vital link between our company and our clients, you'll be the face of our commitment to quality and reliability on every route. This job is class A cdl required Responsibilities Safely operate commercial vehicles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws. Load, secure, transport, and unload sheds and building materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure safety and compliance before each shift. Load and unload cargo efficiently, utilizing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury. Deliver products directly to customers' locations, providing excellent customer service by assisting with placement and answering questions professionally. Maintain accurate delivery logs using mobile devices, documenting all shipments, deliveries, and any incidents or delays. Follow established route plans for timely deliveries while managing unforeseen obstacles with proactive problem-solving skills. Experience Previous warehouse experience or experience in commercial driving is highly preferred. Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving, manual transmission vehicles, or courier services. Familiarity with warehouse operations, material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, and heavy lifting techniques. Knowledge of safety procedures related to manual handling, load securing, and safe lifting practices. Ability to adhere to traffic regulations consistently while managing a busy delivery schedule. Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting directly with clients. Valid driver's license suitable for operating box trucks or commercial trucks; experience with drivers or courier roles is a plus.
