Beach Ford is seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Pick-Up & Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for safely transporting customers and vehicles, picking up and delivering vehicles and providing excellent customer service throughout the process. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently while maintaining communication with the Service Department and customers.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicles to pick up and deliver customers, vehicles, parts, and other items as assigned. Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times. Transport customers to and from the dealership or other designated locations. Pick up and deliver customer vehicles while maintaining care and attention to the vehicle. Load, unload, and properly secure items being transported. Follow efficient routes and maintain schedules to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries. Complete required paperwork, delivery logs, and other documentation accurately. Maintain accurate records and promptly report any delivery issues, delays, damage, or discrepancies to management. Communicate with the Service Department and customers regarding pick-up and delivery schedules. Perform routine vehicle inspections, including checking fuel level, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition. Keep company vehicles clean and presentable. Follow all traffic laws, dealership safety policies, and applicable regulations. Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude when representing Beach Ford. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred Ability to operate and navigate a variety of vehicles, including vans, trucks, and small buses Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and manage multiple pick-up and delivery assignments. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with GPS navigation devices and mapping apps Ability to safely lift, carry, and move items as needed. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Schedule Requirements:
Must be available to work four 10-hour shifts per week. Must be available to work occasional Saturdays as needed. Schedule may vary based on customer and Service Department needs.
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and driving record check . Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment testing as required by the dealership. Must maintain a satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
