As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities Operate a Car, cargo van, box truck or similar vehicle for deliveries and pickups. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured for transport. Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients and recipients. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any necessary documentation. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability. Assist in warehouse operations as needed, including heavy lifting and moving of products. Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks when necessary. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively. Previous warehouse experience is a plus, enhancing operational efficiency. Experience in commercial driving, particularly with box trucks or similar vehicles. Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on punctuality and reliability. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks as required by the job. Familiarity with operating forklifts and pallet jacks is advantageous. Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles when applicable. Experience in route driving, ensuring timely deliveries across various locations. Knowledge of courier services is beneficial for understanding delivery expectations.
