Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan efficient delivery routes using route driving skills to maximize productivity and minimize delays. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, ensuring safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks. Interact professionally with customers, building positive relationships through clear communication and attentive service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure performance and safety. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for each trip. Skills Strong driving skills with experience in commercial driving and automobile transportation. Excellent knowledge of route planning, route driving, and navigation tools. Exceptional customer service abilities to communicate effectively with clients and resolve issues promptly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Familiarity with wholesale operations, merchandising, and client relationship building. Knowledge of DOT regulations governing commercial truck driving to ensure compliance at all times. Effective organizational skills to manage deliveries efficiently and maintain accurate records.
