Monday-Friday, daytime hours; typically four 5-6 hour shifts per week About the Job Desco Audio Video is hiring two part-time Delivery Technicians to support our warehouse and field operations. This is a hands-on position combining AV product delivery, light installation, and warehouse support . Responsibilities will vary from week to week depending on delivery schedules, installation activity, inventory needs, and the overall workload of the business. You'll deliver premium audio, video, and technology products to homes, businesses, and job sites throughout our approximately 60-mile service area. You'll also help with light installation work such as mounting TVs, positioning speakers and equipment, and connecting AV components to existing wiring. No prior AV experience is required. Desco provides product-specific training , and for someone interested in building a career in the industry, this role can provide a pathway into our AV Installer Apprenticeship program . What You'll Do Delivery & Client Service Safely load, transport, deliver, and unload AV equipment and materials Drive company vehicles that may include cargo vans, Transit/Sprinter-style vehicles, and box trucks Verify products and quantities against delivery paperwork Protect products and client property during loading, transport, and delivery Provide professional, courteous service in clients' homes and businesses Communicate with clients, technicians, warehouse staff, and management regarding deliveries Assist with moving and positioning large or sensitive AV equipment Keep delivery vehicles clean and organized Light AV Installation After company-provided training, you may: Mount TVs and displays Assist with mounting speakers and other AV equipment where new wiring is not required Unbox, assemble, place, and position AV equipment Connect equipment to existing AV cabling and electrical outlets Perform basic product setup when trained to do so Use ladders and common hand and power tools This position does not perform wire pulling, cable installation, termination, extension, concealment, or other low-voltage electrical work requiring a Washington State 06 electrical license. Warehouse Support Stage equipment and materials for technician installations Help receive, organize, and move inventory Process delivery and receiving paperwork Assist with regular inventory counts Identify damaged products or inventory discrepancies Break down cardboard and packaging materials Repackage products for returns, storage, or shipment Prepare outbound shipments Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, dollies, and carts Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouseWhat We're Looking For Required:
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely operate company delivery vehicles Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs Ability to safely handle large, awkward, fragile, and high-value equipment Willingness to use team lifts and appropriate material-handling equipment for heavier or oversized items Comfortable working on ladders Comfortable using or learning to use common hand and power tools Reliable and punctual Strong attention to detail Professional and client-focused Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently when completing deliveries Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of applicable background and driving-record reviews in accordance with applicable law. Preferred Experience These aren't required, but they're a plus: Delivery or moving experience Furniture or appliance delivery experience Warehouse or logistics experience Experience driving larger commercial-style vehicles CDL Experience mounting TVs or installing consumer electronics Familiarity with audio/video equipment or home technology Experience with pallet jacks, hand trucks, or similar equipment Schedule Approximately 20-24 hours per week Typically four 5-6 hour shifts Primarily Monday-Friday during daytime business hours Occasional early starts Weekend work is rare and generally scheduled in advance Specific hours may vary depending on delivery and installation schedules Benefits Part-time employees are eligible for Desco's employee benefits under the same eligibility timeline as full-time employees.Benefits include:
