Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Class A Truck Driver for seasonal help, where you will play a vital role in transporting freight across various routes with energy and precision. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your commercial truck driving expertise, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety standards and regulations. As a key player in our logistics operation, you'll enjoy the thrill of over-the-road (OTR) driving, managing diverse cargo types, and navigating complex routes with confidence. Your dedication will keep our supply chain moving smoothly during peak seasons, making a real impact every day. Duties Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Safely load and unload freight, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods, ensuring proper manual handling techniques and secure cargo handling. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules across OTR routes and local deliveries. Transport automobile parts or vehicles via specialized equipment like car carriers or flatbeds, ensuring safe transit and delivery. Maintain compliance with hazardous materials regulations (Hazmat), including proper documentation and safety procedures for dangerous goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or unforeseen delays. Skills Proven experience driving commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions and manual handling skills. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck driving. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation tools for efficient delivery execution across diverse terrains. Ability to load and unload freight safely using forklift or manual techniques; experience with freight cargo handling is preferred. Familiarity with different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Excellent driving record with experience in delivery driving and route driving for over-the-road (OTR) assignments.
