Job Summary Great opportunity for retirees! We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our transportation team at local Farm. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws. This is a part-time, seasonal position, for the fall harvest season only. Must be flexible (on call) as hours are weather dependent and may run into the late evenings some days. Must have valid drivers license. Responsibilities Perform route driving to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving. Skills Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation skills. Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers. Attention to detail for conducting vehicle inspections and maintaining safety standards.
