Duties Safely operate trucks, vans, trailers, warehouse equipment to deliver products to customers and clients, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load and unload shipments using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks, forklifts, and carts Conduct thorough inspections of delivery vehicles before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance with regulations Assist with warehouse operations including moving stock, organizing inventory, and managing material handling equipment Communicate effectively with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns professionally Follow established routes using mobile devices or GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries and optimize efficiency Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and safety records in accordance with company policies Experience Proven delivery driver experience working with vans, Stake Body trucks, and pickup trucks with trailers in a fast-paced environment Prior warehouse experience demonstrates familiarity with manual handling, moving, and warehouse operations Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, trailers and forklifts is preferred Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and weight handling in the workplace is essential Familiarity with route driving, adhering to traffic laws, driving with trailers, and willing to learn DOT regulations ensure safe and compliant deliveries Strong customer service skills combined with reliable driving history contribute to success in this role Mechanical Background Helpful Ability to lift 50 lbs.
