About us Z.T. Distribution, Inc. is a full service Direct Store Distribution (DSD) company to the grocery trade. We service a variety of nonperishable items to major chains and independent grocers throughout Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Our service includes warehousing, delivery, order writing, merchandising, and marketing of fine quality national and regional brands.

Growth opportunities On-the-job training Safe work environment We have an opening for a Delivery Driver to operate a straight truck locally throughout Wisconsin. Primary duties include driving and delivering our products to all major and independent grocery retailers and warehouses. The ideal candidate should have great driving skills and experience. You should be prepared to navigate traffic and negotiate turns safely and efficiently on a daily basis. Our ideal candidate will plan routes, monitor delivery devices, monitor and report vehicle performance, handle loading and unloading procedures, keep records, maintain inventory levels and follow company policy.
Responsibilities:
Ensures trucks are loaded properly, each job is separated and loads are in order Safely and efficiently delivers product to the customer in a timely manner, can navigate route Brings back pallets, boxes and trays with every load; unloads trucks and puts back anything that needs to be Assists in rushing orders that are due to customers Operates all manual and power equipment Identifies and processes damaged items - disposal, sales or returns Records customer instructions and relays them to Operations management Communicates with Operations management when running behind schedule or when a load is refused Keeps Operations Management team informed of any potential customer problems or complaints using weekly reports and damage/credit summaries When checking orders, ensures invoice is correct as well or makes changes as needed Notifies Operations management of vehicle or equipment problems Performs general maintenance on trucks including ensuring leasing company checks oil at each refueling. Performs pre and post trip inspections. Ensures truck and cab are cleaned daily Obeys all safety rules and regulations including those of the Department of Transportation (DOT) Calls Warehouse if any route deviations occur Following route completion, will pick orders as needed Other duties as assigned
