Boat Rentals & Fuel Dock Supervisor

Job Description

Boat Rentals & Fuel Dock Supervisor Job Duties & Responsibilities Hire, evaluate, and schedule Boat Rentals & Fuel Dock staff. Oversee the daily boat rental process, including rental contracts, boat orientations, cleaning, and fueling. Help make the rental process efficient and guest friendly. Make sure employees receive required job and safety training and follow all guidelines and procedures. Assist with staff meetings and training. Oversee the Boat Rental retail counter and work directly with the reservation software company. Support all areas of Boat Rental and Fuel Dock operations, including staff supervision, daily operations, inventory, and opening and closing duties. Provide excellent customer service throughout boat rental and fuel sales operations. Handle escalated guest concerns and work toward a resolution. Make decisions about discounts, refunds, and deposits when needed and in the best interest of the company. Encourage staff to go above and beyond for guests whenever possible. Complete administrative duties related to department operations. Monitor department costs and expenses. Prepare reports that help track staff accountability. Assist with budget development.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Two or more years of college, or enough education to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. Five or more years of experience in a marina or recreation-related position. At least two years of management or supervisory experience. Knowledge of common boating laws and Department of Boating & Waterways regulations. Strong decision-making and customer service skills. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to give clear direction to staff. Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email. Understanding of budgets and accounting. Working knowledge of radio systems. Basic First Aid/CPR certification. Valid Driver's License with a clean three-year driving history and no DUI convictions within the past 10 years. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
